| Training Duaat for the Future |
| A
duaat training centre has been established jointly with the As Salaam Educational
Institute at As Salaam. This programme has been initiated as the need for
skilled duaat are urgently required in various parts of South Africa. The
3 year course includes Islamic Studies, Arabic, Dawah Methodology, Vocational
Skills. A Business Administration Module is being considered so that
the student will be multi-skilled on graduation. A student with matric that
graduates from this institute will be eligible for under-graduate studies
at universities in South Africa.
Currently there are 18 students in the first year of study from various parts of South Africa. The enrollment for next year is expected to be another 25 students in the first year with students from all parts of Southern Africa. The two teachers that WAMY has employed are Sheikh Sultan
from Egypt and Sheikh Umar from Commore Islands. |
